ST. LOUIS (AP) - Pinch-hitter Dioner Navarro hit a run-scoring double in the eighth inning to cap a three-run rally and the Chicago Cubs beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-5 last night to win a series at St. Louis for the first time in nearly three years. Matt Holliday homered twice for the Cardinals, who lost their fourth in a row.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Jacoby Ellsbury matched a career high with four hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 5-3 win over the Kansas City Royals Saturday night. Royals right-hander Jeremy Guthrie, who had won his previous four starts, threw a season-high 123 pitches in seven innings. He gave up five runs on 10 hits and a walk.

CHICAGO (AP) - Conor Gillaspie lined a go-ahead single in the sixth inning and the Chicago White Sox rallied to beat the Minnesota Twins 5-4 yesterday. Jordan Danks homered and rookie Andre Rienzo pitched five and one third innings in his home debut as the White Sox snapped a five-game losing streak against the Twins. David Purcey struck out two in an inning for the win. Addison Reed earned his 28th save in 33 chances.

DENVER (AP) - Dexter Fowler had two hits and two RBIs and the Colorado Rockies used a big sixth inning to beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-4 Saturday night.
