The list of road closures due to flooding now includes the Champ Clark Bridge at Louisiana, and Highway 79 south of Hannibal.

MoDOT issued a bulletin confirming the closures shortly after 7 a.m. Monday. Officials say water from the Mississippi has gone over Highway 79 south of Hannibal near Continental Cement. A bulletin issued Sunday warned motorists that the Champ Clark Bridge on US 54 at Louisiana would be closed sometime Monday due to the rising Mississippi.

Several areas along Highway 79 are now closed between Hannibal and Winfield.
