I know Bill has had and will continue to have plenty to say about the Hannibal Cavemen. But, since I get to hang around the ball club a little bit, I thought I'd put in my two cents, as well.

Tonight is opening night for the Prospect League, and the Cavemen and the defending league champion Quincy Gems start the season at 6:30 p.m. at QU Stadium. Quincy will also be the site of game two Wednesday night, with the Cavemen opening their home schedule at Clemens Field Thursday night.

If you're a baseball fan, and you've never been to a Prospect League game, you should make it a point to go. It's always a festive atmosphere, and you get a chance to see a group of young men who are trying to hone their skills to earn a spot in the pros someday. And, down the road, when some of these guys actually get to the majors, you can say you saw them when.

And, of course, if you can't get to the games, we will have all the Cavemen home games and their games in Quincy live on-line on www.khmoradio.com.

See you at the ball park.
