A Quincy man is sentenced to probation Tuesday on charges filed in connection with a 2016 burglary.

In Adams County Circuit Court, 23 year old Spencer Wombles was sentenced to 30 months’ probation for theft and 24 months’ for criminal trespass to a residence.

In a jury trial in March, Wombles was found not guilty of residential burglary, but was convicted of the other charges.

Wombles is alleged to have broken into a home in the 600 block of South 19th in 2016, stealing various items including money, a bottle of liquor and a suitcase.

Wombles was also ordered to pay $1,000 restitution.
