The winter of '18 is once again making its presence felt in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for the area from 6 p.m. Monday through Noon Tuesday.

Forecasters warn that wind chill values are expected to drop as low as 20 degrees below zero Monday night and Tuesday morning. They warn that these kinds of wind chills can cause frostbite to exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

Relief from the bitter cold is expected later in the week, with highs getting to the mid 30s Thursday and into the 50s by the weekend.
