It was a wetter than average and more seasonal October temperature-wise in Hannibal.

According to the National Weather Service reporting station at the Hannibal Filter Plant, we got 4.18 inches of rain in October, about three-quarters of an inch better than average.

The wettest day of the month was the 14th, when 1.3 inches of rain fell.

After a warmer than normal September, October was more seasonal. There were five days when the high temperature got to 80 or above, topping out at 87 on the 14th, missing the record high for the date by just two degrees.

There were three days when the low dropped below 30, with lows of 25 on the 28th and 29th.
