This is the rarest of weekends for me. No activities scheduled. I don’t have to come in and work on Sunday morning. No play by play work or public address gigs in the afternoon or evening. I don’t really have to be anywhere until early Monday morning. That does not happen often.

The only items on the agenda are a couple runs to stay ready for the Bridge The Gap Half Marathon next weekend and dinner with some relatives on Saturday night. However, those are things I want to do, not things I have to do. Other than that, nothing is happening—and it’s going to stay that way.

There are things I could tackle during my weekend. My side of the overgrown fence in my back yard needs some attention. The car could use a good waxing.  The house can also use some cleaning.  But those tasks can (and will) be worked into the weekday routine.

It’ll be a long time before I get another weekend without commitments.  I’m going to enjoy this one.  The “Do Not Disturb” sign is in place as of 5 p-m.
