Wave Runners Collide on Mark Twain Lake

A Cedar Hill, Missouri woman is rushed to the hospital after two personal watercrafts collide on Mark Twain Lake.The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the mishap occurred at the 107 Beach Area at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers report 51 year old Carl Scherer and 25 year old Samantha Scherer were driving around in circles when the elder Scherer’s personal watercraft struck Samantha’s.  Samantha Scherer was thrown from the wave runner.  She suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by ambulance.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by a Park Ranger and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.
