Missouri Governor Jay Nixon will give his annual State of the State address to the Missouri Assembly Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The speech will be available to watch live online

Nixon will lay out his priorities for the year, and is expected to call on lawmakers to work in a bipartisan manner "to focus on priorities that will move the state forward."

According to the Associated Press, Nixon will ask for more funding for public education in the state. The AP also cites the governor's office in saying that Nixon will emphasize "fiscal discipline," while also seeking to spend money on things that grow the economy.
