Warm Dry Weather Yields Brush Fires

This warm, dry weather is keeping firefighters busy with brush fires.

Fire crews battled brush fires Thursday in Clark County… Ralls County and in the Liberty area. Smoke from the Clark County fire could be seen from the Taylor area. The fire in Clark County burned at least ten acres. Parts of the area are under outdoor burn bans due to the dry and windy conditions. Fire officials strongly caution against outdoor burning due to dry ground conditions and the warm and dry weather conditions. Dry grass and wind can quickly spread a small fire across a large area.
