Veterans Day Observed Monday

(Undated) – Today is the official government observance of the Veterans Day holiday.
The day was observed over the weekend around the area, with ceremonies at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Quincy and the American Legion Hall in Hannibal, with a Veterans Day parade in Hannibal on Saturday.

Most government offices are closed today for the holiday. There will be no mail delivery and a number of schools in the area are closed.
