A central Missouri woman is dead and seven others are injured after a four-vehicle crash in Morgan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 31-year-old Carissa Ryden was a passenger in a car driven by 38-year-old Jeffrey Ryden of Versailles when it crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound Peterbilt truck at 10 a.m. Saturday

Carissa Ryden was ejected and struck by another vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semitrailer ran off the road and came to rest in some trees, seriously injuring its 47-year-old driver.

Ryden's vehicle spun in the roadway and was struck by an eastbound car, causing a 7-year-old passenger in Ryden's vehicle to be ejected. She was seriously injured when a fourth vehicle attempted to avoid the wreck but struck her.
