US 61 West Ely/Pleasant Work

(HANNIBAL)—As of midnight tonight… MODOT and its contractor will temporarily close access to West Ely and Pleasant from US 61 in Hannibal to widen the streets to include left turn lanes and to install new traffic signals. West Ely and Pleasant approaches to 61 will be closed for up to 60 days. Signals at the intersection will be removed temporarily to allow north and southbound traffic to flow uninterrupted during the project.

MODOT also advises that crews will be working in the daytime in addition to the potential for nighttime work on this project.

Work is expected to be complete at US 61 and West Ely/ Pleasant by October 15th.
