The stage is set for several big events that attract thousands of people to the City of Hannibal.

Tuesday evening, the Hannibal City Council approved street closures for the:

  • Twain on Main Festival May 27-29
  •  Arts and Crafts Festival and Mud Volleyball July 1-4
  • Hannibal Cannibal Run/Walk the morning of July 2nd.

In other business, the council approved a request to hold a Public Hearing at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, to discuss rezoning property at 221 South Maple from One and Two Family to Commercial. The proposed use is an antique shop on the first floor with entertainment and event space on the second.

Two Bills received a Second and Final Reading: One amends the city’s annual bid limits, and the second amends a block grant agreement with MoDOT.
