$400,000 is the goal for this year’s United Way of the Mark Twain Area campaign.
Campaign Chair Jill Janes announced the goal and campaign theme Wednesday morning. This year's theme is "Be The Change". Janes says "often we look around our communities and see things we want to change, improve or do differently. By working with the United Way you have the opportunity to be the change you want to see in your community."

A Taste of the Mark Twain Area formally kicks off the campaign in early September. That popular event returns on September 6th.

Funds raised for the United Way of the Mark Twain area impact the lives of over 30,000 individuals in Marion, Lewis, Monroe, Ralls and Shelby Counties.
