Underage Tobacco Sales Compliance Check in Quincy

Quincy Police report a 97 percent compliance rate in a check of businesses for sale of tobacco to minors. Police checked 30 businesses on Sunday with the help of a 16 year old volunteer agent. One arrest was made during the compliance check. 21 year old Carla Bowen of Quincy was arrested for selling tobacco products to a minor at Save A Lot at 1120 Locust. Quincy Police say their goal is a 100 percent compliance rate.
