Police in Peoria say two teenagers were overwhelmed by a group of robbers who stormed inside a house after the door was answered. The robbers tied up the teens and ransacked the house.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports the home invasion and robbery happened early Thursday morning in central Peoria. Police say the foster father had just left when the teens heard a knock on the door. Police say the group of men — at least one of them holding a gun — made off with a firearm.

The boys were able to free themselves and call police from a neighbor's home. As of Thursday afternoon, police had not made any arrests or publicly identified any suspects.
