Two Missourians Arrested in Quincy on Drug Charges

A traffic stop in Quincy late Monday night results in the arrest of two Missouri residents on drug-related charges.

A drug investigation on Quincy’s south side by officers with the West Central Illinois Task Force and the Quincy Police Department Street Crimes Unit resulted in a traffic stop in the 900 block of Jefferson.

The driver of the car, 39 year old Darlene Elles of Benton City, Missouri was arrested. Her passenger, 37 year old Anthony Hutton of Hannibal, was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

The two were found to be in possession of over 50 grams of methamphetamine ICE and numerous Oxycodone pills.

Elles and Hutton were taken to the Adams County Jail on charges of meth trafficking and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
