My television will be set on ESPN Wednesday night as they will televise the Ball State-Northern Illinois University football game. Not only is this game featuring two teams with 9 victories each and 6-0 conference records this season, but two local people will featured in the game. NIU's kicker is Mathew Sims, formerly of the Hannibal Pirates. Former Quincy Notre Dame running back Ric Hinkamper will be the officiating the game as a Line Judge.

Sims this season is 42 out of 43 in extra points and 11 out of 14 in field goals with his only three misses coming from 40 to 49 yards out. Sims, with 75 total points so far this season, even has a 51 yard field goal to his credit. Look for him wearing uniform #99 tomorrow night.

Hinkamper got a late call to fill in for this game but has officiated in many college games including in front of over 100,000 fans at Ohio State and has been on several ESPN broadcasts in the past. You can look for Ric wearing the striped shirt with LJ on the back.

The game itself should be a dandy with kickoff set for Wednesday night at 7 p.m. (CST) in DeKalb, Illinois.
