A Hannibal couple have been arrested on a series of charges.

On August 10, shortly before 2:00 pm, officers with the Hannibal Police Department Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) observed a male they knew to be 22-year-old Curtis J Warner of Hannibal. Warner had been wanted for questioning for a domestic assault.

When Warner saw the officers approaching, he fled from a vehicle on foot. Warner was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and resisted arrest. During the incident Warner assaulted an officer who sustained minor injuries which did not require medical treatment.

As officers attempted to subdue Warner, his wife Sandra charged at officers. Sandra was arrested for physical resist arrest and released on a summons.

Curtis was placed on a 24-hour hold for assault on law enforcement officer, resist arrest, domestic assault, and was arrested on a municipal warrant.
