The City of Hannibal is setting two of its flood gates Saturday morning.

In a news release from Emergency Management Director John Hark, the flood gates on Hill and Center Streets will be set beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

With a predicted river crest of 20.7 feet coming Monday, the decision was made to set two of the cities' five gates.

Hark says this is being done as a precaution because of the forecast of heavy rains between Saturday and Monday.
