Fire Sunday damaged a house at 2523 Stevens Drive in Quincy.
Flames were visible as Quincy firefighters arrived. No injuries are reported. Investigators say the flue pipe for a hot water heater caught insulation on fire. That fire was the third in Quincy since the start of the Quincy Fire Department’s annual Keep the Wreath Red program. Wreaths at each of the fire stations are decorated with red lights. As house fires occur… a bulb is changed to white. The fire on Stevens Drive is the second in recent days. Quincy Firefighters say an electric blanket used to keep pets warm resulted in damage to a garage at 2233 Aldo Boulevard on Friday. The Keep the Wreath Red program continues through the holiday season.
