Two Pittsfield residents were taken into custody on drug related charges over the weekend.

According to Pittsfield Police Chief Kenneth Yelliott, officers served a court-authorized search warrant at a residence in Pittsfield Saturday.

The search revealed methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, distribution bags and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, 33 year old Charles Swarringim and 39 year old Lisa Guthrie, both of Pittsfield, were arrested and charged with possession of meth, drug paraphernalia and hypodermic syringes.

Pittsfield Police were assisted in the investigation by the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Western Illinois Drug Task Force.
