Information provided by a witness helped Quincy Police nab two suspects linked to separate crimes reported Friday evening.

The first event happened at 5:54 p.m. near 7th and Elm when a 37 year-old male reported two black males attacked him from behind, knocking him to the ground. The victim alleges he was struck several times about the head before the suspects took money and a knife.

Two hours later, Quincy Police responded to 18th and Chestnut to investigate a disturbance.  Two men walking in the area reported a black male approached from behind and punched them both before fleeing the scene.

A witness description of the suspects and their vehicle led police to a Quincy residence. Officers arrested 19 year-old Calvin Lamont Antonio Snell and 20 year-old Lamar Coulter, both of Chicago.  Snell and Coulter are facing robbery charges.  Coulter faces additional charges of Aggravated Battery.  Both are lodged in the Adams County Jail pending a court appearance.

The victims reported superficial injuries to the face, according to the QPD Press Release.
