A Quincy man and a Coatsburg woman were arrested Thursday in connection with a series of burglaries in Clayton earlier this month.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office reports the investigation into break-ins at Mixer Lumber Company, Mike’s Diner and Parker’s Gas Station in Clayton revealed a stolen debit card had been used at several Quincy businesses. That, along with surveillance footage, led to the arrests of 26 year old Lucas Shaffer of Quincy and 26 year old Sasha Bradfield of Coatsburg.

The two were arrested during a traffic stop Thursday in Mendon.
Both are charged with burglary and theft. Shaffer is also charged with possession of burglary tools and forgery.

Shaffer and Bradfield are lodged in the Adams County Jail.
