A traffic stop on Illinois 61 west of Mendon Wednesday evening results in two arrests.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputies learned during the stop that the driver and passenger had outstanding arrest warrants. A vehicle search led to the discovery of a substance believed to be methamphetamine and a controlled substance in individual baggies. 28 year old TeCarl Steele of Keokuk was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, obstructing I-D, possession of drug paraphernalia and on warrants from Hancock County and Iowa. Sascha Barry of Keokuk was arrested on a Hancock County warrant. Barry posted bond. Steele is in the Adams County Jail without bond.
