Missouri Highway Patrol Troopers worked two crashes on US 61 Thursday.

A collision involving a minivan and an auger wagon on US 61 at 4:40 Thursday afternoon results in moderate injuries for a Palmyra man. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a minivan driven by 36-year-old Kenneth Beaver came over a hill three miles south of Palmyra and struck an auger wagon pulled by a tractor operated by 56-year-old Dennis Keim of Hannibal. Troopers say Beaver was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital by private vehicle for treatment of moderate injuries.

A tractor trailer crash on US 61 blocked traffic for much of Thursday afternoon near LaGrange. No injuries are reported from the crash two and a half miles north of Lewis County Route C. The crash forced a detour on route B from south of LaGrange to north of Canton. US 61 reopened to traffic shortly after 4 p.m.
