(Quincy, Ill)--What began as a traffic stop ended with numerous meth-related charges for 55 year-old Christopher Reimers.

Press Release from the West Central Illinois Task Force:

An Illinois State Trooper on patrol in Quincy conducted a traffic stop at
8th and Broadway Thursday morning.  The driver of the vehicle, Christopher
J. Reimers, age 55 of 411 Oak Street, Apartment #8 was found to be in
possession of two ingredients used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.
Reimers was arrested and the West Central Illinois Task Force was called in
to assist in the investigation.

A search of Reimers residence was conducted and numerous additional
ingredients used in the shake and bake methamphetamine manufacturing
process were seized.   Reimers was arrested for Aggravated Unlawful
Participation in Methamphetamine Production, Unlawful Possession of
Methamphetmaine Precursors, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine
Manufacturing Material, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, 15-100
grams, and Unlawful Use of Property.

Reimers was lodged in the Adams County Jail without bond.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
