(VANDALIA)—Highway Patrol troopers say a medical condition suffered by the driver caused a one vehicle crash that injured four Vandalia residents.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Harlie Tapley of Vandalia went off the road and hit a tree and an embankment before coming to rest in a creek at 5:20 Monday afternoon on Audrain County Route J. 30-year-old Crystal Waters of Vandalia was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of moderate injuries.

Tapley and two infants sustained minor injuries. They were taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.
