Tracy to Run for Illinois Senate Seat

Former Illinois State Representative Jil Tracy indicates she will run for the Illinois Senate.

Tracy, a Republican said last week she was considering a run after the announcement that incumbent Democrat John Sullivan would not seek another term in 2016.

Tracy served as a state representative in the 93rd district representing western Illinois from 2006 until 2015.

She did not seek re-election to that seat opting instead to run unsuccessfully for Lieutenant Governor in 2014.
