(HANNIBAL)—The Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau says the high temperatures last summer contributed to a 56-hundred dollar loss for the Molly Brown House.

An air conditioner failure added to the expenses  for the building at Butler and Denkler near Mark Twain Avenue. Convention and visitors bureau officials say getting people from the downtown area to the historic house is an issue because of a lack of parking and difficulty for tour buses to access the area and that they’re considering options to improve the situation.

The City of Hannibal has owned the property since 2007.
