Three-Year-Old Chicago Girl Dies From Child Abuse

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says a 3-year-old girl died from child abuse.

An autopsy on Ashley Mendoza shows the girl had multiple injuries and her death was ruled a homicide.

Investigators say the girl's body was found Sunday night at a home on the city's northwest side.

Chicago Police say Tuesday that no arrests have been made, but they're interviewing a person of interest in the case.
