(Pike Co., Mo)—A Louisiana man sustains serious injuries after losing control of his pickup on Pike County Route NN near County Road 255 at 2:28 this morning. The Missouri State Patrol says 27 year-old Matt Shade was driving westbound on NN when his pickup failed to negotiate a curve, traveling off the left side of the road and overturning before striking a tree. Shade sustained serious injuries and was taken to a St. Louis hospital by Air Evac. The Highway Patrol says Shade was not wearing a seat belt.
(Cole County, Mo)--Two Louisiana women are injured after their vehicle is struck on Highway 54 in central Missouri. The Missouri Highway Patrol says a car driven by Karen Beck of Jefferson City was attempting to make a left turn on Highway 54 near the Moreau River at 11:15 a.m. Saturday when she struck a car driven by 46 year-old Angela Korte-Traynor of Louisiana. Korte-Traynor and a passenger, 64 year-old Shirley Korte suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment.
