Last night a residential structure fire near Coatsburg injured three firefighters when a portion of the structure collapsed. One firefighter was treated and released from Blessing Hospital. The remaining two were admitted and are in good condition.

According to John Simon, the Adams County Emergency Management Director, fire crews were on the scene until after 2 a.m. this morning addressing hot spots in the structure. The State Fire Marshall’s office was notified last night and will be on-scene today.

The Central Adams Fire Protection District was assisted by Camp Point Fire Protection District, Liberty Fire Protection District, Clayton Fire Protection District, Adams County EMS, Adams County Sheriff Department, and the American Red Cross.
