A third teenager has died from injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash in central Illinois last week.

The State Journal-Register in Springfield reports that 17-year-old Dana Janssen of Harvel died Saturday at a Springfield hospital.

Janssen was the driver of one of the vehicles involved in Wednesday's crash near Raymond, about 35 miles south of Springfield. Illinois State Police say she overcorrected when her car's tires left the roadway, sending her into the path of an oncoming minivan.

The van hit the car's passenger side, killing 16-year-old Samantha DeLisle of Harvel. A backseat passenger, 17-year-old Jeffery Masters of Harvel, died at a hospital in Litchfield.

The three were headed home from Lincolnwood High School when the crash occurred.

Police say the van's driver was treated for minor injuries.
