"Cop on a Rooftop" is a fundraising effort that the Quincy Police Department is taking part in to help raise money for the Special Olympics Illinois, it is happening this Friday (August 19th), and here is how you can help the QPD hit their goal!

According to a press release from the Quincy Police Department, the 19th annual "Cop on a Rooftop" event will take place on Friday, August 19th starting at 5 am at the Quincy Dunkin' Donuts location at 2602 Broadway Street. Law enforcement officials will be at over 300 Dunkin' locations across the Land of Lincoln all raising money for Special Olympics Illinois.

The Quincy Police Department will be on the rooftop of the Quincy Dunkin' starting at 5 am on Friday, the 19th, and will be there until noon. Dunkin' will also have the lobby open for this event so please come in and say hi to the QPD and leave a donation. Your donations will also be accepted at the Drive-Thru window, if you donate you will receive a coupon for a FREE Donut! Guests who donate $10 or more will also get a commemorative travel mug and a coupon for a FREE medium coffee.

Finally, any local business that donates $100 or more will have a dozen donuts delivered to their offices by the Quincy Police Department! The Quincy Police Department's goal this year is to raise $3,000 for the Special Olympics Athletes so let's rally around them as a Tri-States community and help them achieve this goal, and get some free donuts in the process!
