The Missouri State Highway Patrol Monday released its traffic numbers for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Troopers report there were ten traffic fatalities on Missouri highways over the weekend. Statewide, troopers investigated 400 traffic crashes, which resulted in 124 injuries.

Two of those fatalities took place in northeast Missouri.

On Saturday, 80 year old Stanley Thurman of Paris died when the vehicle he was driving was struck by a train on a Monroe County Road west of Paris.

And, 58 year old James Sizemore of LaPlata died as the result of a two vehicle crash in Kirksville at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Thanksgiving holiday reporting period ran from 6 p.m. Friday through midnight Sunday.
