(BOWLING GREEN)-- A Bowling Green teenager who police say had to be shocked three times with a stun gun during a fight with two officers will be back in court December 4.

17-year-old Austin Greenfield is charged with felony assault of a law enforcement officer and felony resisting arrest. Police were called to Walmart in Bowling Green on November 17 to investigate a shoplifting complaint. They were told the suspect had blocked the view of employees while a juvenile stole a can of compressed air.

Officers found that Greenfield had an outstanding juvenile warrant for burglary in Iowa. Police say the suspect became combative when they tried to arrest him.

After a struggle, one of the officers reported using a stun gun three times to bring Greenfield under control. The officer said the suspect continued to thrash around even after being handcuffed and put in a squad car.
