A Monroe City educator is arrested on felony charges of Attempted Enticement of a Child. The arrest of 39 year-old Jeremy McClusky comes after an investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Monroe City Police, and detectives from the Hannibal Police Department.

The investigation began when the father of a 14 year-old girl discovered alarming messages on the girl’s phone.  Marion County Deputy Erin Johnson responded to the father’s residence on September 4 and viewed the messages which Johnson confirmed were sexual in nature.  The messages were allegedly between the girl and McClusky.

McClusky told authorities he had developed a counselor type of relationship with the girl.  He also reportedly said he had allowed some of the conversation to ”go too far”.

McClusky was taken to the Marion County Jail Friday on a $50,000 cash only bond.
