Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick confirms she will oversee the investigation of possible criminal activity at the now-closed Ralls County 911 Center.  Kendrick told KHMO News Friday that Judge David Mobley assigned her to the case.

The controversy stems from a KHQA News story that alleges an employee fired shots inside the building last year.  Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie released a statement Friday indicating his office executed a search warrant in July at the facility on Highway 19 near New London.  Dinwiddie reports various items of evidence were recovered but no further information was released.

The Ralls County 911 center ceased operations in July after its director resigned.  Marion County 911 has been extending service to Ralls County residents in the interim.
