A few weeks ago we embarked on a hugely unscientific journey to find the absolute most beloved high school mascot in our area. For our purposes, “our area” included…literally anybody that stumbled upon the post. Anyway, more than 3,000 people joined in on the fun and cast more than 20,000 votes.

In October, the Quincy Blue Devils played the Quincy Notre Dame Raiders in football for the first time in 30 years. It hasn't quite been that long since the boys' basketball teams for the schools have played one another, but it's been a while. The Blue Devils and Raiders will meet up for the first time since 2008 on Saturday. Who do you think will win the game?

I have never met Luke Guthrie but I feel like he's one of us simply by being from Quincy. This young man came from behind yesterday to win the Web.com Tour's WNB Golf Classic in Midland, Texas.  He was 5 shots back when play started yesterday and he made up the difference and then some after firing a 6 under par 66 in the final round.
