Large steamboats making regular stops in Hannibal this time of year has become a common occurrence. But, a new boat made its first stop in America’s Hometown Wednesday.
Hannibal’s other season gets underway in earnest Tuesday.
That would be boat season, the time of year when a parade of large riverboats with overnight accommodations for extended cruises start to make their way up and down the Mississippi.
If you enjoy seeing the majestic riverboats that travel the mighty Mississippi River, then you will get plenty of opportunities to see them in the days and weeks ahead. The Queen of the Mississippi Riverboat will be arriving this Sunday, August 4 at 8:30 a.m. in Hannibal.
The American Queen Riverboat has docked in Hannibal, and will stay in America's Hometown for three days. The American Queen arrived Thursday morning, and is scheduled to depart on Saturday, October 13.
