SUV Crash Injures Ten in Monroe County

An SUV crash on US 24 at 7:32 Sunday morning injures the driver and nine passengers.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Brittany Griggs of Chicago fell asleep at the wheel. The SUV went off the road and overturned just west of Monroe County Road 1137. Griggs sustained moderate injures, as did 27-year-old Maurika Jackson of Chicago.

Eight children ranging from infant to age ten were also injured. Two of those children sustained serious injuries. All were taken to Moberly Regional Medical Center for treatment.
