A Hannibal church steeple damaged in a May 2013 windstorm is back in place.

A crane lifted the steeple back onto First Presbyterian Church Wednesday. Church officials say the cost to repair damage to the steeple is around 250-thousand dollars. The steeple was twisted and damaged by high winds during a storm on May 20 of 2013. 80 to 100 mile per hour winds knocked out electricity for several hours for many and downed hundreds of trees throughout Hannibal. The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado southwest of Hannibal as that storm system came through.
