Hannibal Mayor James Hark gives his first State of the City address.
The first term mayor touched on a series of ongoing projects around Hannibal. Hark also talked about goals over the next year including business retention visits. Hark acknowledged recent announcements of the closing of two Hannibal manufacturing facilities and pointed out that those decisions were made by people outside the Hannibal area.

Hark also discussed riverfront renovation plans and expressed hopes that the project could be complete in time for Hannibal’s bicentennial in a couple years. Hark also outlined progress with the Community PRIDE project in bringing the South Side back and a city wide street project expected to begin within a month.
