The old axiom, "If you don't like the weather, just wait around a little while and it'll change," will never be more true than the coming week in northeast Missouri and western Illinois.

National Weather Service forecasters say the week gets off to a foggy start, with a Dense Fog Advisory through mid-morning Monday.

Snow is predicted Tuesday, with less than a half inch of accumulation expected. Rain and snow are predicted Wednesday, with less than an inch of additional snow in the forecast.

Temperatures through mid-week will top out in the upper 30s and low 40s, with lows from the upper 30s to around 30.

A major warm-up moves into the area Thursday, with highs of 55 Thursday, 65 Friday, 58 Saturday and 54 Sunday.

There is also a slight chance of rain in the forecast Saturday night.
