An organization dedicated to helping the area's veterans throws a party in Quincy Saturday, March 7.

The group Six String Heroes' 3rd annual fund raising party comes to historic Turner Hall at 926 Hampshire Street in Quincy.

Six String Heroes Quincy is a branch of a group based in St. Louis, and they offer free guitars and music lessons to veterans.

The party features music by the local bands Eleven, Clockwork and Avenue Beat, along with food, drinks, games and door prizes. Admission is $5, and the music starts at 5:30 p.m.
