Six Flags St. Louis is set to announce a new ride for the theme park.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the park will announce Thursday a new ride called Fireball. According to park officials, Fireball consists of a single loop that will move riders back and forth in a pendulum style until they are sent upside down.

Officials say riders will sit back to back-to-back and face-to-face on the seven-story-high roller coaster.

Public relations manager Elizabeth Gotway says the ride will be the first in the park that can have two people going forward and two people going backward at the same time.

The ride has opened at Six Flags theme parks in New Jersey, California, Georgia and Maryland this year.

It is expected to open in St. Louis next spring.
