The Missouri State Highway Patrol releases the traffic numbers from the Christmas holiday weekend.

In a press release, the Highway Patrol reports there were six traffic fatalities on the state’s highways over the weekend. This included one fatality in northeast Missouri.

27 year old Brooke Summers of Salisbury died in a single vehicle crash on Highway 5 south of Marceline in Chariton County on Friday.

Three of the state’s other traffic fatalities happened in the Springfield area, with one each in the Poplar Bluff and Willow Springs areas.

Along with the six fatals, troopers investigated 260 traffic crashes, which included 86 injuries.

The Christmas holiday reporting period ran from 6 p.m. Friday through midnight Monday.
