A southeast Missouri man is charged with first-degree murder after a shooting during the weekend.

Sikeston police spokesman Capt. James McMillen says 35-year-old Craig Marks of Sikeston was charged after he turned himself in Sunday afternoon. Police has been looking for Marks since 22-year-old Tyrell Banks, of Haywood City, was found shot at a Sikeston home early Sunday.

The Sikeston Standard-Democrat reports McMillen says witnesses told investigators the shooting stemmed from an ongoing issue between Marks and Banks.

Police are releasing few other details about the shooting.

It was not immediately clear if Marks has an attorney.
